It's an eerie - and all too familiar -- scene outside the offices at Dickerson Park Zoo. This birch tree is just a few steps outside the back door on the hill overlooking the rest of the zoo. We hope for the best during this winter storm.
Just a reminder: Dickerson Park Zoo is closed in February and March if the walkways have ice or snow. Call the office, 417-833-1570, to check if the zoo is open later this week.
Summer operating hours begin April 1 -- 9 a.m.-5 p.m., daily, regardless of the weather.
